Leckgeschlagenes Flusskreuzfahrtschiff auf Main evakuiert
Ein leckgeschlagenes Flusskreuzfahrtschiff mit rund 150 Menschen an Bord ist in der Nacht zu Sonntag auf dem Main in einem Großeinsatz evakuiert worden. Wie die Polizei in Würzburg mitteilte, war das Schiff beim Verlassen einer Schleuse bei Karlstadt mit dem Heck auf einen Felsen gelaufen und verzeichnete "erheblichen Wassereintritt". An Bord waren 126 Senioren aus Großbritannien sowie 22 Besatzungsmitglieder.
Nach Angaben der Polizei befand sich das Schiff auf einer Flusskreuzfahrt von der ungarischen Hauptstadt Budapest nach Düsseldorf. Kräfte von Feuerwehr und Technischem Hilfswerk (THW) pumpten Wasser aus dem Rumpf und verhinderten so ein Sinken. Die evakuierten Menschen wurden in einer Turnhalle versorgt.
Den Beamten zufolge war wahrscheinlich ein Fahrfehler des Schiffsführers für die Havarie verantwortlich. Die Wasserschutzpolizei nahm Ermittlungen dazu auf, die Weiterfahrt des Schiffes wurde von den Behörden untersagt. Die Höhe des Sachschadens war zunächst unklar. Etwa 250 Einsatzkräfte waren vor Ort.
