Waldbrandfläche bei Jüterbog verdoppelt sich
Gut eine Woche nach Ausbruch hat sich der Waldbrand bei Jüterbog in Brandenburg massiv ausgedehnt. Es seien nun 656 Hektar betroffen, sagte die Leiterin des Jüterboger Ordnungsamts, Christiane Lindner-Klopsch, am Donnerstagmorgen der Nachrichtenagentur AFP. Damit verdoppelte sich die betroffene Fläche - zuvor waren 326 Hektar angegeben worden.
Der Amtsleiterin zufolge fachten Hitze und Wind den Brand an. Das Feuer bewege sich aber noch innerhalb der Brandschneisen, die in den vergangenen Tagen geschaffen worden waren. Einsatzkräfte löschten von den Rändern aus. Damit örtliche Kräfte verschnaufen könnten, würden sie am Donnerstag von Feuerwehrleuten einer Nachbargemeinde unterstützt. Zudem sollten wie schon in den Tagen zuvor wieder kleinere Löschflugzeuge und ein Hubschrauber eingesetzt werden.
Am Mittwoch seien 24 Fahrzeuge und 90 Einsatzkräfte vor Ort gewesen, sagte Lindner-Klopsch. Der Waldbrand war eine Woche zuvor ausgebrochen und hatte sich in den vergangenen Tagen immer wieder unterschiedlich entwickelt. Da es sich um einen ehemaligen Truppenübungsplatz handelt, ist das Einsatzgebiet mit alter Munition belastet und kann von den Einsatzkräften nicht betreten werden.
