Ehepaar wegen schwerer Kindesmisshandlung in Rheinland-Pfalz vor Gericht
Weil es seinen Sohn schwer misshandelt haben soll, muss sich seit Mittwoch ein Ehepaar aus dem rheinland-pfälzischen Speyer vor dem Landgericht Frankenthal verantworten. Die Anklage wirft dem Mann vor, das im Januar 2020 geborene Kind bis Juli 2020 wiederholt in den Bauch gechlagen zu haben. Dies habe zu schmerzhaften Entzündungen geführt.
Im Juli 2020 soll er den Kopf des Kinds gegen einen harten Gegenstand geschlagen haben, wodurch es ein Schädel-Hirn-Trauma und Brüche erlitt. Der Junge musste als Folge der inneren Verletzungen operiert werden. Dabei wurden Schädigungen des Darms festgestellt.
Obwohl die Mutter vom schlechten Gesundheitszustand des Kinds gewusst habe, habe sie erst ärztliche Hilfe geholt, als ihr Sohn bereits in einem lebensbedrohlichen Zustand gewesen sei.
Durch eine Notoperation wurde das Kind gerettet. Die dauerhaften Folgeschäden seien noch nicht abschließend geklärt. Der Junge wird nach Angaben der Staatsanwaltschaft künstlich ernährt.
