Seit Januar vermisster Arzt aus Gerolstein tot aufgefunden
Ein seit rund einem halben Jahr vermisster Arzt aus dem rheinland-pfälzischen Gerolstein ist tot. Seine Leiche wurde bei einer Suchaktion in einem Wald nahe dem Ort Rockeskyll in der Eifel gefunden, wie ein Sprecher der Polizei in Trier am Donnerstag sagte. Weitere Details wurden zunächst nicht bekannt, die Ermittler kündigten aber weitere Informationen an.
Der Mann war seit Januar vermisst worden. Zuletzt war eram 30. Dezember bei seiner Arbeit in einem Krankenhaus in Daun in der Eifel gesehen worden. Vier Tage später wurde er von seinem Arbeitgeber als vermisst gemeldet, als er nicht zur Arbeit erschien. Sein Auto wurde Anfang Januar abgebrannt in einem Wald entdeckt, seitdem fehlte jede Spur von dem Vermissten.
Am Montag teilte die Polizei mit, dass sie von einem Tötungsdelikt ausgehe. Demnach wurde der Mann am 30. oder 31. Dezember getötet. Die Ermittler begannen am Montag mit einer Durchsuchung in dem Waldgebiet bei Rockeskyll. Ermittlungen deuteten darauf hin, dass der Leichnam dort abgelegt worden sein könnte.
