40 Kilogramm Kokain in Handgepäck an Frankfurter Flughafen - lange Haftstrafe
Weil er am Frankfurter Flughafen im Handgepäck dutzende Kilogramm Kokain bei sich hatte, hat das Landgericht Frankfurt am Main einen 32-Jährigen wegen Schmuggels zu sechseinhalb Jahren Haft verurteilt. Wie ein Gerichtssprecher am Mittwoch sagte, verurteilte die Strafkammer den Angeklagten wegen unerlaubten Drogenhandels in nicht geringer Menge. Er soll laut Anklage rund 40 Kilogramm Kokain im Handgepäck von der Dominikanischen Republik nach Deutschland geschmuggelt haben.
Dazu reiste er laut Anklage im November mit dem Flugzeug von der Hauptstadt Santo Domingo nach Frankfurt am Main. Dort flog sein Schmuggel jedoch auf - das Kokain hatte er demnach in einem Rucksack und einem Kabinenkoffer verstaut. Die insgesamt 39 Kokainportionen sollen zum Weiterverkauf bestimmt gewesen sein.
Der Mann befand sich bereits seit November in Untersuchungshaft. Laut dem Sprecher berücksichtigte das Gericht strafmildernd, dass er Hinweise auf weitere Beteiligte am Drogenhandel gegeben habe.
