Oberbürgermeister von Halle an der Saale bleibt vom Dienst suspendiert
Der Oberbürgermeister von Halle an der Saale, Bernd Wiegand (parteilos), bleibt vom Dienst suspendiert. Das Oberverwaltungsgericht in Magdeburg wies seine Beschwerde gegen die vorläufige Enthebung vom Dienst zurück, wie es am Mittwoch mitteilte. Gegen Wiegand läuft ein Disziplinarverfahren, weil er im vergangenen Jahr gegen die damals geltende Impfreihenfolge verstoßen haben soll.
Wiegand hatte eingeräumt, entgegen der Priorisierung schon im Januar 2021 eine Impfung gegen das Coronavirus erhalten zu haben. Auch mehrere Stadträte und Mitglieder des Katastrophenstabs wurden geimpft. Das Landesverwaltungsamt Sachsen-Anhalt enthob ihn im Juni vergangenen Jahres vorläufig seines Amts.
Der Stadtrat hatte Wiegand schon im April vorläufig verboten, seine Amtsgeschäfte weiterzuführen. Dagegen klagte er erfolglos. Im Dezember lehnte das Verwaltungsgericht Magdeburg auch seinen Antrag auf Aufhebung der Dienstenthebung durch das Landesverwaltungsamt ab. Die Beschwerde dagegen wurde nun ebenfalls zurückgewiesen.
