Mordprozess nach Verkehrsunfall mit zwei Toten in Neuruppin begonnen
Nach einem Verkehrsunfall mit zwei Toten hat vor dem Landgericht im brandenburgischen Neuruppin ein Mordprozess gegen einen 24-jährigen mutmaßlichen Raser begonnen. Zu Beginn am Dienstag wurde die Anklage verlesen, wie eine Gerichtssprecherin sagte. Dem Mann wird demnach vorgeworfen, im Juli auf einer Bundesstraße in der Nähe der Gemeinde Mühlenbecker Land einen Unfall mit einem entgegenkommenden Auto verursacht zu haben. Dabei kamen zwei Menschen ums Leben, zwei weitere wurden verletzt.
Laut Anklage wollte der betrunkene 24-Jährige die höchstmögliche Geschwindigkeit erreichen, um seinem Beifahrer die Leistungsfähigkeit des Fahrzeugs zu demonstrieren. Eine Kollision und den Tod anderer Verkehrsteilnehmer soll er dabei in Kauf genommen haben. Der Mann ist deshalb unter anderem wegen Mordes, versuchten Mordes und eines verbotenen Kraftfahrzeugrennens angeklagt. Für den Prozess wurden Verhandlungstage bis Anfang November angesetzt.
