Kölner Oberbürgermeisterin für weibliches Dreigestirn beim Karneval
Die Kölner Oberbürgermeisterin Henriette Reker (parteilos) hat sich zum Start in die heiße Phase des Karnevals für eine weibliche Besetzung des bisher Männern vorbehaltenen Dreigestirns ausgesprochen. "Ich fände gut, wenn es mindestens einen weiblichen Prinzen geben würde – aber noch besser fände ich ein weibliches Dreigestirn", sagte Reker dem "Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger" vom Montag. Sie hoffe, "dass dies in den kommenden Jahren Realität wird".
Der Prinz, der Bauer und die Jungfrau, die zusammen das Kölner Dreigestirn bilden, sind die offiziellen Regenten über das närrische Volk und Aushängeschild während einer Session des Kölner Karnevals. Das Dreigestirn wurde am Freitag bei der sogenannten Prinzenproklamation offiziell eingesetzt.
"Natürlich kann man über einen weiblichen Prinzen nachdenken, ich bin ein großer Fan der Freiheit von Gedanken", sagte Karnevalist und Komiker Bernd Stelter, der bei der Proklamation im Gürzenich als Redner aufgetreten war. Was er nicht wolle, seien Verbote. "Ich will sagen dürfen, was ich denke - also eine Frau als Prinz, warum nicht, wenn man das andere nicht verbietet", sagte Stelter.
