Finale des Eurovision Song Contest im englischen Liverpool
In Liverpool findet am Samstag (21.00 Uhr) das Finale des 67. Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) statt. Als Favoritin gilt die Schwedin Loreen mit ihrem Lied "Tattoo". Der ESC-Gewinnerin von 2012 werden in Wettbüros schon seit Wochen die größten Siegchancen eingeräumt. Die deutsche Band Lord of the Lost liegt laut Wettbüros im unteren Mittelfeld - und könnte damit nach den letzten Plätzen der vergangenen Jahre Deutschlands bestes Ergebnis seit Jahren holen.
26 Länder treten im Finale an, darunter der Vorjahressieger Ukraine mit einem Elektrosong des Duos Tvorchi. Wegen des russischen Angriffskriegs gegen die Ukraine kann diesmal nicht wie üblich das Siegerland des Vorjahres den weltweit beachteten Wettbewerb ausrichten. Das zweitplatzierte Großbritannien organisierte die Show stattdessen in der Beatles-Heimatstadt Liverpool.
