Er habe früher keine Angst gehabt, "was mir aber auch nicht immer gut getan hat."
Der Frontmann der Indie-Rockbands Babyshambles und The Libertines war in der Vergangenheit wiederholt wegen Drogen und Alkohol in den Schlagzeilen. Er schaffte es, von den Drogen wegzukommen. Seinem Sohn will er ein guter Vater sein. "Mein eigener Vater war ein harter, unemotionaler Typ, der kaum geredet hat", sagte der Musiker. "Ich möchte mir mehr Mühe geben, mit meinem 20-jährigen Sohn ins Gespräch zu kommen."
