Hollywood-Star Julia Roberts würde sich für den Weltuntergang mit Cheeseburgern, Keksen und sehr viel Alkohol eindecken. "Wenn ich nur noch 24 Stunden habe, kuschele ich mich mit meiner Familie ein - mit Cheeseburgern, einer riesigen Menge Alkohol, Schokoladenkeksen, Umarmungen und Küssen", sagte Roberts der Nachrichtenagentur AFP in einem Interview. Vielleicht würde sie vor der Apokalypse auch noch Schlaftabletten besorgen. "Aber es wird nicht passieren", versicherte die Schauspielerin.
Roberts spielt in dem Endzeitfilm "Leave the World Behind", der ab Freitag im Streamingdienst Netflix zu sehen ist, eine wohlhabende New Yorkerin, deren Familienurlaub auf Long Island eine unheilvolle Wende nimmt, als die Familie durch eine Cyberattacke von der Außenwelt abgeschnitten ist und plötzlich zwei Fremde vor der Tür stehen. Weitere Rollen in dem Film spielen Stars wie Ethan Hawke und Mahershala Ali.
Bei apokalyptischen Szenarien findet Roberts im wahren Leben Naturkatastrophen am bedrohlichsten - "weil sie realistischer sind und weil es Mutter Natur einfach egal ist, was andere von ihr denken", wie die Schauspielerin sagte.
