"Love Story"-Star Ryan O'Neal mit 82 Jahren gestorben
Der mit dem Liebesdrama "Love Story" weltberühmt gewordene US-Schauspieler Ryan O'Neal ist tot. Der auch für seine jahrzehntelange Beziehung mit der Schauspielerin Farrah Fawcett bekannte Darsteller sei am Freitag im Alter von 82 Jahren "friedlich" verstorben, erklärte sein Sohn Patrick O'Neal auf der Onlineplattform Instagram.
Der frühere Amateurboxer hatte 1970 mit "Love Story" seinen großen Durchbruch und wurde für einen Oscar nominiert. Zwei Jahre später war er an der Seite von Barbra Streisand in der Komödie "Is' was, Doc?" von Regisseur Peter Bogdanovich zu sehen. 1973 spielte er in Bogdanovichs Erfolgsfilm "Paper Moon" mit und wurde für einen Golden Globe nominiert.
Unter Regie-Legende Stanley Kubrick spielte der in Los Angeles geborene Schauspieler 1975 die Hauptrolle in dem Historienfilm "Barry Lyondon". Zwischen 2005 und 2017 wirkte er in der Serie "Bones - Die Knochenjägerin" mit.
