Neun Golden-Globe-Nominierungen für "Barbie"
"Barbie" und "Oppenheimer" sind die großen Favoriten bei der Anfang Januar anstehenden Verleihung der US-Filmpreise Golden Globes. Die feministische Satire "Barbie" über die menschgewordene Kult-Puppe wurde am Montag in neun Kategorien für die Golden Globes nominiert, darunter als beste Komödie. Der biografische Film "Oppenheimer" über den Entwickler der Atombombe folgt knapp dahinter mit acht Nominierungen, darunter als bestes Drama.
Nominiert wurden auch die Hauptdarsteller von "Barbie", Margot Robbie und Ryan Gosling, sowie Regisseurin Greta Garwick.
Für "Oppenheimer" wurden der Darsteller des Atomphysikers, Cillian Murphy, sowie seine Ko-Stars Emily Blunt und Robert Downey Jr nominiert. Auch der Regisseur von "Oppenheimer", Christopher Nolan, kann auf einen Golden Globe hoffen.
Die Golden Globes werden am 7. Januar verliehen. Sie stellen traditionell den Auftakt für die jährliche Serie von Preisverleihungen in der US-Filmbranche dar. Höhepunkt ist die Oscar-Verleihung, in diesem Jahr am 10. März.
Für die Golden Globes soll die Preisverleihung 2024 einen Neuanfang markieren. In den vergangenen Jahren waren die Golden Globes durch Rassismus- und Korruptionsvorwürfe in die Krise geraten und hatten stark an Popularität eingebüßt.
In diesem Jahr übernahm eine private Investorengruppe um den US-Milliardär Todd Boehly die Federführung bei diesen Preisen. Zugleich wurde die Auflösung des Verbands der Auslandspresse in Hollywood beschlossen, der jahrzehntelang die Golden Globes vergeben hatte.
