Bericht: "Parasite"-Darsteller Lee Sun-kyun tot aufgefunden
Der aus der Oscar-gekrönten Gesellschaftssatire "Parasite" bekannte südkoreanische Schauspieler Lee Sun-kyun ist einem Medienbericht zufolge tot. Der Leichnam des Darstellers sei in einem Fahrzeug an einem Park in der Hauptstadt Seoul gefunden worden, berichtete die südkoreanische Nachrichtenagentur Yonhap am Mittwoch. Demnach nahm der 48-Jährige sich mutmaßlich das Leben.
Zuletzt hatte die Polizei wegen Drogenvorwürfen gegen den Schauspieler ermittelt. Medienberichten zufolge wurde Lee deswegen aus Fernseh- und Werbeprojekten verbannt. In Südkorea gelten sehr strenge Anti-Drogen-Gesetze.
Lee ist einem internationalen Publikum insbesondere aus dem Film "Parasite" von Regisseur Bong Joon Ho aus dem Jahr 2019 bekannt. Die schwarze Komödie gewann bei der Oscar-Verleihung 2020 als erster nicht-englischsprachiger Film der Geschichte den Hauptpreis als bester Film und wurde außerdem mit den Oscars für den besten internationalen Film, die beste Regie und das beste Originaldrehbuch ausgezeichnet.
"Parasite", eine Mischung aus Gesellschaftssatire und Thriller, handelt vom Spross einer armen südkoreanischen Familie, der einen Job als Nachhilfelehrer für die Tochter eines reichen Unternehmers - gespielt von Lee - ergattert. Mit schwarzem Humor wird erzählt, wie der Sohn nach und nach seine ganze Familie als Angestellte bei seinem neuen Arbeitgeber unterbringt. Der Film steuert dann auf ein blutiges Ende zu.
