Campino wird Gastprofessor an Universität Düsseldorf
Der Punkrocker und Tote-Hosen-Sänger Campino wird Gastprofessor an der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf. Campino wird im April zwei Vorlesungen halten, wie die Hochschule am Montag mitteilte. Die erste Vorlesung trägt den Titel "Kästner, Kraftwerk, Cock Sparrer. Eine Liebeserklärung an die Gebrauchslyrik". In der zweiten Vorlesung widmet er sich dem Thema "Kakophonie". Wegen des großen Andrangs werden die Karten für beide Vorlesungen verlost.
Die Universität erklärte, Campino sei nicht nur Frontmann der Toten Hosen. Er sei auch politisch und sozial engagiert und zudem als Schauspieler und Schriftsteller sowie journalistisch tätig gewesen. Als einer der erfolgreichsten Songwriter Deutschlands habe er "seine Affinität zu lyrischen Texten mehr als nur unter Beweis gestellt".
Campino, der mit bürgerlichem Namen Andreas Frege heißt, wurde 1962 in Düsseldorf geboren. Die Toten Hosen sind mit über 20 Millionen verkauften Tonträgern und zwölf Nummer-eins-Alben eine der erfolgreichsten Rockbands Deutschlands.
Die Heinrich-Heine-Gastprofessur ist ein Geschenk des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen aus dem Jahr 1988 an die Universität anlässlich ihrer damaligen Namensgebung. Vor Campino waren unter anderem Helmut Schmidt, Juli Zeh, Wolf Biermann, Joschka Fischer, Ulrich Wickert, und zuletzt Klaus-Maria Brandauer Heine-Gastprofessoren. Die Gastprofessur wird auf Vorschlag der Rektorin oder des Rektors an meinungsstarke und engagierte Persönlichkeiten verliehen.
