Serbische Autorin Barbi Markovic erhält Belletristik-Preis der Leipziger Buchmesse
Die aus Serbien stammende Schriftstellerin Barbi Markovic hat für ihr Buch "Minihorror" den Preis der Leipziger Buchmesse in der Kategorie Belletristik gewonnen. Das gab die Jury am Donnerstag in Leipzig bekannt. Die Autorin setzte sich mit ihren 26 Horrorgeschichten um das Paar Mini und Miki gegen fünf Mitbewerber durch.
In der Kategorie Übersetzung gewann in diesem Jahr Ki-Hyang Lee für ihre Übersetzung des Erzählungsbands "Der Fluch des Hasen" von Bora Chung aus dem Koreanischen. Den Preis für das beste Sachbuch beziehungsweise Essayistik erhielt Tom Holert für "'ca. 1972' Gewalt – Umwelt – Identität – Methode".
Der mit insgesamt 60.000 Euro dotierte Preis der Leipziger Buchmesse wird seit 2005 für Neuerscheinungen in den Kategorien Übersetzung, Sachbuch und Belletristik vergeben. Insgesamt wurden 486 Titel eingereicht, 15 wurden nominiert.
Im vergangenen Jahr hatte Dincer Gücyeter für seinen Roman "Unser Deutschlandmärchen" den Preis der Leipziger Buchmesse in der Kategorie Belletristik erhalten.
