Hollywood-Star Brad Pitt zeigt erstmals seine Skulpturen der Öffentlichkeit
Hollywood-Star Brad Pitt hat in einem Museum in Finnland von ihm geschaffene Skulpturen enthüllt. Es sei das erste Mal, dass der US-Schauspieler seine Werke der Öffentlichkeit zeige, erklärte das Sara Hilden Art Museum in Tampere im Südwesten Finnlands am Montag. Die Skulpturen sind Teil einer größeren Ausstellung des britischen Künstlers Thomas Houseago, in der auch eine Keramikserie des australischen Musikers Nick Cave gezeigt wird.
Für Cave und ihn sei es eine neue Welt, sagte Pitt am Samstag bei der Eröffnungszeremonie. "Es fühlt sich einfach richtig an." Der Besuch des 58-hährigen Hollywoodstars war unerwartet, da seine Teilnahme vorher nicht angekündigt worden war.
Unter Pitts Kunstwerken befindet sich eine Gipsplatte, die eine Schießerei darstellen soll, sowie eine Serie von Silikon-Skulpturen in Häuserform, von denen jede mit einer anderen Art von Munition beschossen wurde. "Für mich geht es um Selbstreflektion", sagte Pitt. "Es geht darum, wo ich in meinen Beziehungen etwas falsch gemacht habe, wo ich einen Fehltritt begangen habe."
