Deutschland exportierte 2022 rund 5,5 Kilogramm Altkleider pro Kopf
Deutschland hat im vergangenen Jahr rund 462.500 Tonnen Altkleider und gebrauchte Textilien exportiert - das entspricht 5,5 Kilogramm pro Kopf. Wie das Statistische Bundesamt in Wiesbaden am Mittwoch weiter mitteilte, war das ein Rückgang um elf Prozent verglichen mit 2021. Die größten Abnehmerländer waren Polen und die Niederlande, allein ein Drittel der Altkleider-Exporte ging dorthin. Weitere wichtige Länder waren Belgien, die Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate und die Türkei.
Die Importe von Altkleidern nach Deutschland waren 2022 mit 63.000 Tonnen deutlich kleiner als die Exporte. Hier kam der Großteil, nämlich gut 41 Prozent, aus Großbritannien. Auch Österreich, die Schweiz und Frankreich exportierten gebrauchte Textilien nach Deutschland.
Zum weltweiten Handel mit Textilien veröffentlichte das Statistikamt Zahlen aus dem Jahr 2021. Demnach war Deutschland in diesem Jahr nach den USA der zweitwichtigste Exporteur gebrauchter Kleidung und Textilien. China folgte dahinter.
Über Altkleidercontainer oder Recyclinghöfe werden außerdem große Mengen an Textilabfällen bei Privathaushalten eingesammelt. Den Statistikern zufolge waren das im Jahr 2021 rund 176.200 Tonnen - 5,8 Prozent weniger als der bisherige Höchstwert von 187.000 Tonnen im Jahr 2020. Binnen zehn Jahren nahmen diese Textil- und Bekleidungsabfälle um über 70 Prozent zu.
