Dänemark soll ab 2028 grünen Wasserstoff nach Deutschland liefern. Wirtschaftsminister Robert Habeck (Grüne) vereinbarte am Freitag bei seinem Besuch in Kopenhagen einen Arbeitsplan für den Hochlauf einer deutsch-dänischen Wasserstoff-Infrastruktur. Dänemark will bis 2030 so viel grünen Wasserstoff herstellen, dass es auch für den Export reicht. In Deutschland gibt es einen wachsenden Bedarf.
Deutschland und Dänemark hatten schon im Mai 2022 eine Zusammenarbeit in Sachen Wasserstoff vereinbart - eine Pipeline soll das Gas aus dem Westen Dänemarks in den Norden Deutschlands bringen. In der Gemeinde Ringköbing-Skjern im Westen Dänemarks soll Presseberichten zufolge bis 2030 ein riesiger Energiepark entstehen - mit Hilfe von Sonnen- und Windenergie soll dort unter anderem pro Jahr eine Million Tonnen Wasserstoff sowie wasserstoffbasierte Stoffe wie Ammoniak produziert werden.
Wasserstoff und Ammoniak gelten als Energieträger der Zukunft, die an die Stelle fossilen Erdgases treten könnten. Sie können durch Elektrolyse gewonnen werden. Kommt dabei Energie aus klimafreundlichen erneuerbaren Quellen zum Einsatz, wird von grünem Wasserstoff gesprochen.
