Umsatz im Einzelhandel im Februar zurückgegangen
Deutschlands Einzelhandel hat im Februar weniger umgesetzt - der Wert sank im Vergleich zum Januar preisbereinigt um 1,3 Prozent und im Vergleich zum Vorjahresmonat sogar um 7,1 Prozent, wie das Statistische Bundesamt in Wiesbaden am Freitag mitteilte. Im Vergleich zum Februar 2020, dem Vergleichsmonat vor der Corona-Pandemie, ging der Umsatz um 1,6 Prozent zurück. Grund sind vor allem die hohen Lebensmittelpreise.
Der Einzelhandel mit Lebensmitteln hatte im Dezember ein "Umsatztief" erreicht: Niedriger war der Wert in der Branche zuletzt im September 2014. Im Januar und Februar erholte sich der Lebensmitteleinzelhandel leicht, wie die Statistiker ausführten: Im Januar legte der Umsatz um 3,3 Prozent im Vormonatsvergleich zu, im Februar um 0,2 Prozent. Allerdings lag der Umsatz mit Lebensmitteln im Februar noch 8,0 Prozent unter Vorkrisenniveau.
Der preisbereinigte Umsatz mit Nicht-Lebensmitteln dagegen stieg im Februar im Vergleich zum Vorkrisenniveau um 2,8 Prozent. Im Internet- und Versandhandel lag er 14,9 Prozent höher als im Februar 2020.
