Tesla verbucht Gewinneinbußen im ersten Quartal
Tesla hat im ersten Quartal hohe Gewinneinbußen hinnehmen müssen. Wie der Elektroautobauer am Mittwoch mitteilte, lag der Gewinn bei 2,5 Milliarden Dollar (rund 2,3 Milliarden Euro) und damit 24 Prozent unter dem Wert des Vorjahreszeitraums. Als Reaktion fiel die Tesla-Aktie im nachbörslichen Handel um 3,8 Prozent.
Als Grund für den Gewinnrückgang nannte das US-Unternehmen unter anderem höhere Kosten für Rohstoffe und Logistik. Tesla hatte zudem zuletzt mit deutlichen Preissenkungen die Nachfrage nach seinen Elektroautos angetrieben. Investoren sehen die Preissenkungen als Möglichkeit, Marktanteile zu gewinnen.
Das Unternehmen von US-Milliardär Elon Musk erklärte, die Gewinnmargen seien in "überschaubarem Maße" geschrumpft, und deutete weitere Preissenkungen an. Der Autohersteller bekräftigte sein Ziel, in diesem Jahr 1,8 Millionen Autos bauen zu wollen. Die Produktion an Standorten im Bundesstaat Texas sowie in Brandenburg werde erhöht.
