Der Krankenstand in Pflegeberufen ist in elf Jahren um mehr als 44 Prozent gestiegen. Wie eine Analyse des AOK-Bundesverbands anhand der Daten von 700.000 bei der AOK versicherten Pflegekräften zeigt, fielen diese im vergangenen Jahr an 8,8 Prozent aller Arbeitstage aus. Vor elf Jahren seien es noch 6,1 Prozent der Arbeitstage gewesen, teilte der Verband am Mittwoch in Berlin mit.
Drei von vier Arbeitnehmerinnen und Arbeitnehmern in der Pflege haben sich demnach im Jahr 2022 mindestens einmal arbeitsunfähig gemeldet. Im Schnitt hätten sie 32 Arbeitsunfähigkeitstage gehabt und damit acht Fehltage mehr als die übrigen bei der AOK versicherten Berufstätigen.
"Die Anforderungen an die Pflege sind in den vergangenen Jahren gestiegen", erklärte die Vorstandsvorsitzende Carola Reimann. Hinzu kämen Belastungen durch den andauernden Personalmangel. "Das geht häufig zulasten der Gesundheit der Beschäftigten."
