Saudi-Arabien drosselt weiter seine Ölproduktion
Angesichts sinkender Ölpreise hat Saudi-Arabien am Sonntag eine weitere Drosselung seiner Ölproduktion angekündigt. Die Produktion werde im Juli um eine Million Barrel täglich gedrosselt und dies könne "verlängert werden", sagte der saudiarabische Energieminister Abdelasis bin Salman nach Verhandlungen der 13 Opec-Staaten sowie von zehn Partnerländern in Wien.
Ein weiteres Ergebnis des Treffens gab der russische Vize-Regierungschef Alexander Nowak bekannt: Die von neun Förderstaaten, unter ihnen Saudi-Arabien und Russland, beschlossene Drosselung um 1,6 Millionen Barrel täglich, die seit Mai greift, werde bis Ende 2024 fortgesetzt.
In Wien waren Vertreter der Staaten der Opec+-Gruppe versammelt, die aus den 13 Opec-Ländern unter Führung Saudi-Arabiens sowie zehn Partnerländern unter Führung Russlands besteht. Gemeinsam repräsentieren die 23 Länder 60 Prozent der weltweiten Ölfördermenge. Die Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate konnten erreichen, dass sie im kommenden Jahr trotz relativ niedriger Ölpreise ihre Fördermenge erhöhen können.
Die Nordseesorte Brent wird derzeit mit rund 76 Dollar pro Barrel gehandelt, die US-Sorte WTI mit rund 71 Dollar. Der Preis ist etwa halb so hoch wie im März 2022, als unmittelbar nach Beginn des Ukraine-Krieges der Preis auf fast 140 Dollar geklettert war. Schon im vergangenen Oktober hatte die Opec+-Gruppe eine deutliche Drosselung der Ölproduktion beschlossen.
