Bundeswehr bestellt hunderttausende Artilleriegeschosse bei Rheinmetall
Die Bundeswehr hat beim Rüstungskonzern Rheinmetall mehrere hunderttausend Artilleriegeschosse bestellt. Der Wert der Gefechts- und Übungsmunition belaufe sich auf rund 1,3 Milliarden Euro, teilte das Unternehmen am Dienstag mit. Rheinmetall verwies auf die durch den Ukraine-Krieg entstandene Notwendigkeit, die Munitionslager der Streitkräfte wieder zu füllen. Die Bundeswehr hat seit Beginn des russischen Angriffskriegs zehntausende Artilleriegeschosse an die ukrainischen Streitkräfte abgegeben.
Für die Munitionslieferungen seien zwei Verträge beim Bundesamt für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr (BAAINBw) unterzeichnet worden, erklärte Rheinmetall. Einerseits geht es demnach um einen Rahmenvertrag für die Lieferung von 155mm-Artilleriemunition bis zum Jahr 2029. Dieser habe ein mögliches Auftragsvolumen von rund 1,2 Milliarden Euro.
Zudem sei ein bestehender Rahmenvertrag für DM121-Artilleriegeschosse erweitert worden. Dieser sei um 137 auf 246 Millionen Euro erhöht worden. Es wird insbesondere auch für Ausbildung und Übung genutzt. Erste Geschosse im Wert von 127 Millionen Euro sollen "kurzfristig" geliefert werden.
