Preise für Importe im Juli erneut stark gefallen
Die Importpreise sind im Juli erneut stark gesunken. Im Vergleich zum Vorjahresmonat lagen sie um 13,2 Prozent niedriger, wie das Statistische Bundesamt in Wiesbaden am Mittwoch mitteilte. Den Angaben zufolge ist das der größte Rückgang im Jahresvergleich seit Januar 1987. Verantwortlich für die stark gesunkenen Importpreise ist demnach vor allem ein Basiseffekt: Nach Beginn des Ukraine-Kriegs im vergangenen Jahr waren die Preise steil gestiegen.
Bereits im Juni waren die Preise für Importgüter um 11,4 Prozent gefallen, im Mai betrug das Minus 9,1 Prozent. Verglichen mit dem Vormonat sanken die Preise im Juli dieses Jahres leicht um 0,6 Prozent. Der Rückgang ist laut Statistikamt vor allem auf die niedrigeren Energiepreise zurückzuführen.
Im Vergleich zum Vorjahr gingen die Preise für Energieeinfuhren im Juli mit 47,4 Prozent erneut deutlich zurück. Allerdings waren sie leicht teurer als noch im Juni (1,4 Prozent). Den größten Einfluss auf die Jahresveränderung hatte den Angaben der Statistiker zufolge das Erdgas, bei dem die Preise 58,7 Prozent unter denen vom Juli 2022 lagen.
