Abba-Sängerin Agnetha kündigt Solo-Single an
Agnetha Fältskog, Sängerin der schwedischen Kultband Abba, hat die Veröffentlichung einer neuen Solo-Single bekanntgegeben. Der Song mit dem Titel "Where Do We Go From Here" werde am Donnerstag im britischen Radiosender BBC Radio 2 uraufgeführt, schrieb die 73-jährige Fältskog am späten Dienstagabend im Online-Dienst Instagram. Fältskog hatte ab 2013 bereits mehre Solo-Alben veröffentlicht. Die Band Abba brachte im November 2021 unter dem Titel "Voyager" ihr erstes Album seit rund vier Jahrzehnten heraus.
Abba gelangten 1974 mit ihrem Sieg beim Eurovision Song Contest mit dem Song "Waterloo" zu Weltruhm und setzten ihre Weltkarriere mit Songs mit Hits wie "Dancing Queen" und "Mamma Mia" fort. In den vergangenen 50 Jahren haben sie mehr als 400 Millionen Alben verkauft. 1982 löste sich die Band auf, nachdem sich die beiden Ehepaare Fältskog und Björn Ulvaeus sowie Anni-Frid Lyngstad und Benny Andersson hatten scheiden lassen.
Im vergangenen Jahr kehrten die vier Musiker als sogenannte "Abbatars" mit der Hightech-Konzertshow "Abba Voyage" auf die Bühne zurück. Darin sind zwar die echten Stimmen zu hören, die vier Stars treten aber nur als digitale Hologramme auf.
