Tödlicher Unfall nach Berührung zwischen jugendlichen Fahrradfahrern in Emden
Nach einer Berührung zwischen zwei jungen Fahrradfahrern ist ein 14-Jähriger im niedersächsischen Emden gegen einen Lastwagen geprallt und tödlich verletzt worden. Wie die Polizei in Leer mitteilte, ereignete sich der Unfall am Donnerstagmorgen auf einem Radweg neben einer Straße, auf dem der 14-Jährige und ein zwölfjähriger weiterer Radfahrer in entgegengesetzten Richtungen unterwegs waren. Ihre Lenker berührten sich, woraufhin der Ältere ins Straucheln kam und vom Kurs abkam.
Er geriet nach rechts in Richtung Straße und prallte laut Beamten gegen den Auflieger eines gerade vorbeifahrenden Lastwagens. Dabei wurde er so schwer verletzt, dass er vor Ort starb. Der Lastwagen fuhr weiter.
Die Polizei ging nach eigenen Angaben davon aus, dass der Fahrer von dem Geschehen nichts mitbekam. Der Fahrer werde als wichtiger Zeuge gesucht. Psychologisch geschulte Notfallseelsorger betreuten Menschen, die den Unfall miterlebten.
