Lufthansa streicht wegen Lage in Nahost bis Samstagmorgen Flüge nach Israel
Wegen der angespannten Lage im Nahen Osten streicht die Lufthansa bis Samstagmorgen ihre Flüge nach Israel. Die Maßnahme gelte bis 07.00 Uhr morgens am Samstag und betreffe vier geplante Verbindungen nach Tel Aviv, sagte ein Sprecher des Luftfahrtkonzerns am Freitag. Im selben Zeitraum wird die Lufthansa demnach den irakischen Luftraum umfliegen, daher wurden auch die Flüge nach Erbil bis Samstagmorgen ausgesetzt.
Die Verbindungen seien "wegen der aktuellen Lage" vor Ort annulliert worden, sagte der Lufthansa-Sprecher. Zu weiteren Details wollte er sich nicht äußern.
In der zentraliranischen Provinz Isfahan hatte es in der Nacht zum Freitag nach Berichten iranischer Staatsmedien mehrere Explosionen gegeben. US-Fernsehsender berichteten unter Berufung auf Regierungskreise in Washington, es habe sich um eine israelische Vergeltungsaktion für den massiven Angriff des Iran auf Israel am vergangenen Wochenende gehandelt. Der Iran wies die US-Medienberichte als falsch zurück.
Den iranischen Luftraum meidet die Lufthansa bereits. Die Flüge nach Teheran und Beirut im Libanon sind bis zum 30. April ausgesetzt.
