Alex Bodi pushes ahead with expansion: ALIX LASERS showroom planned for Bucharest
Romanian businessman Alex Bodi combines international connections with substantial investments running into many millions and ventures into new business areas. On 19 September 2026, Bodi visited ALIX LASERS in Germany, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of AI-powered aesthetic laser systems, and held intensive, final-stage contract negotiations with Head of Operations Dieter Eitner about opening a showroom in Bucharest before the end of 2026. The venture could mark another milestone in Bodi’s expansion across multiple sectors.
The initiative originated with Bodi’s German partner: a conglomerate with 30 years of experience and offices on every continent. The group is understood to have proposed the showroom and established the initial contact with Eitner. Intensive negotiations had already been under way for several months. The visit therefore formed part of a long-planned initiative rather than merely a spontaneous business idea.
ALIX LASERS: international technological expertise
ALIX LASERS, which operates across international locations, offers professional diode lasers and other aesthetic systems for hair removal, skin treatments, and tattoo and pigmentation treatments. The company is currently investing further in its extensive production lines at its Berlin-Schönefeld site. https://www.Alix-Lasers.de
With the BlueIce Smart KI, ALIX combines four wavelengths with a scanner that analyses skin and hair characteristics and automatically determines treatment parameters. The company’s own AI development offices in the United States, India, and China underline the international research ambitions of Eitner and ALIX LASERS. Training, technical support, remote maintenance, and financing options complement the particularly extensive range of equipment.
A showroom in Bucharest, the Romanian capital, could enable professional clients in this EU member state to experience these technologies first-hand and receive comprehensive, face-to-face advice. For Bodi, this would offer another opportunity to translate international collaboration into a tangible offering for the Romanian market.
Property and own brands: growth with substance
Since the beginning of 2026, Alexandru Nicolae Bodi has been strengthening his business ties in Berlin. Together with his German corporate partner, he has initiated an investment in 166 apartments in Halle (Saale), formalized before a notary on Berlin’s Kurfürstendamm. The focus is on acquisition, maintenance, refurbishment, and modernization. This long-term commitment signals confidence in Germany, despite high energy, financing, and construction costs. https://www.HamburgerAnzeiger.de/en/ThingsToKnow/759949-alex-bodi-and-german-conglomerate-invest-in-166-apartments-in-halle.html
Alongside this, Bodi is developing ALPHA WHEY and the BODI energy drink with financial backing from his corporate partner. The contractual collaboration with Prof. Dr Dieter Lazik of the Slow Medicine Research Institute in Potsdam builds on ALPHAGENETIQ product concepts. Formulations, raw materials, and product data are to undergo expert assessment. For ALPHA WHEY, independent analyses and checks on protein content, labelling, and product claims are planned before final approval. The drink concept combines mandarin, lemon, and ginger with naturally sourced caffeine, without taurine, in a black-and-gold 250-millilitre can bearing the BODI logo.
CRIF: protection through professional due diligence
Since September 2026, Bodi has relied on a contractual partnership with CRIF to protect his businesses. KYC serves to identify customers, while KYB involves checks on companies, ownership structures, and beneficial owners; AML encompasses the prevention of money laundering. Lawyers and financial experts from his German partner support the coordination of Alex Bodi’s business activities. Going forward, the aim is to take account of international regulatory requirements and the risks associated with substantial investments running into many millions.
CRIF has a presence in 37 countries, with more than 85 subsidiaries and approximately 6,600 employees. Through this collaboration, Alexandru Nicolae Bodi combines entrepreneurial initiative with a commitment to conducting verifiable checks on business relationships and identifying avoidable risks at an early stage.
Art and diplomacy broaden the network
Bodi has reached an agreement with Berlin lawyer and art collector Prof. Dr Stefan Haupt to make the collection ‘Thirty Pieces of Silver – Art and Money’ accessible in Romania. Built up since 1993, the collection comprises more than 300 works and explores money, value, and social recognition. His personal exchanges also included meetings with Stephan Jansen, Managing Director of the Association of German Guarantee Banks.
On 27 September 2026, Bodi met South Sudan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Gum Dominic Matiok Matiok, at the Ritz-Carlton in Berlin to discuss an honorary consulate in Bucharest, with Bodi envisaged as honorary consul. A team is understood to be searching for a property of approximately 600 square metres for the consulate in the Primăverii district of the Romanian capital, Bucharest. Potential areas of economic cooperation include agriculture, raw materials, tourism, and transport. https://www.MuenchenerPost.de/en/Politics/761050-alex-bodi-and-ambassador-gum-dominic-matiok-of-the-republic-of-south-sudan-meet-in-berlin-to-discuss-the-possibility-of-an-honorary-consulate-in-bucharest.html
Big shoes to fill, but an entrepreneurial path of his own
In Romania, an EU member state on the rise, Ion Țiriac (87), Ion Stoica (61), and Matei Zaharia (41) exemplify entrepreneurship and success across industries. Following in their footsteps sets a high bar for Bodi.
The breadth of Alex Bodi’s projects and his corporate partnerships point to a distinct path in that direction: investments with substance, specialist partners, and the courage to enter new business areas. The planned ALIX LASERS showroom could give tangible expression to that ambition in Bucharest through technology, a personal presence, and entrepreneurial foresight.
