Fast jeder zweite Erwachsene in Deutschland sieht Nachholbedarf beim stabilen Internet zu Hause. Wie eine Umfrage des Portals Verivox unter 1040 Menschen ergab, finden 43 Prozent der deutschen Festnetznutzer stabiles Internet ebenso wichtig wie einen Stromanschluss und eine warme Wohnung. Zwar besteht ein gesetzlicher Anspruch auf eine Internet-Mindestversorgung - jedoch anders als bei Energie nicht auf eine unterbrechungsfreie Versorgung.
27 Prozent der Befragten finden heute die Stabilität ihres Anschlusses so bedeutsam wie nie zuvor - gefragt worden waren die Teilnehmenden auch zu ihren Erfahrungen aus zwei Jahren Pandemie. Fast alle Befragten (91 Prozent) halten ihren heimischen Internetanschluss für "generell wichtig". Das Ergebnis der Umfrage aus dem Mai lag AFP am Mittwoch vor.
Generell steigt die Bedeutung eines gut funktionierenden heimischen Anschlusses mit dem Einkommen. So sagen 37 Prozent der Befragten mit einem Nettoeinkommen von mindestens 2500 Euro, sie wären ohne stationäres Internet während der Corona-Jahre verloren gewesen. Bei denen, die weniger als 1500 Euro verdienen, sagten das nur 26 Prozent.
Das mobile Internet könne das stationäre dabei nur bedingt ersetzen, erklärte Verivox. Im Mobilfunk seien Drosselungen und Datenlimits weiterhin "gang und gäbe".
Die kürzlich für stationäre Anschlüsse verabschiedete Mindestbandbreite von zehn Megabit pro Sekunde "reicht nicht aus", führte das Vergleichsportal aus. Für eine "angemessene soziale und wirtschaftliche Teilhabe" sollten demnach mindestens 30 Megabit garantiert werden.
