Bericht: Steuerentlastung fällt inflationsbedingt höher aus als bisher geplant
Die von der Regierung beschlossene Steuerentlastung dürfte inflationsbedingt höher ausfallen als bisher in dem betreffenden Gesetzentwurf vorgesehen. Dadurch würde die Entlastung für eine vierköpfige Familie mit einem Bruttoeinkommen von rund 66.000 Euro nun im kommenden Jahr bei 928 Euro und damit um 204 Euro höher liegen, berichtete das Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland (RND) am Freitag unter Berufung auf interne Berechnungen des Bundesfinanzministeriums.
Hintergrund ist demnach die aktuelle Inflationsprognose von 8,8 Prozent. Bundesfinanzminister Christian Lindner (FDP) hatte bereits angekündigt, dass der tatsächliche Wert für die Inflation in dem Gesetz berücksichtigt werden solle, das sich derzeit in der parlamentarischen Beratung befindet. Es soll insbesondere dem Ausgleich der sogenannten kalten Progression dienen. Diese beschreibt den Effekt, dass Gehaltserhöhungen in Verbindung mit der Inflation durch höhere Steuersätze wieder aufgezehrt werden.
Als Lindner die Steuerpläne Anfang August vorgestellt hatte, war noch von einer Preissteigerung von rund sechs Prozent ausgegangen worden. Für einen Single mit einem Bruttoeinkommen von knapp 29.000 Euro würde die Steuerlast dem RND zufolge durch die neuen Pläne nun um insgesamt 220 Euro sinken, 93 Euro mehr als bisher geplant.
Das Gesetz sieht eine Anpassung des Einkommenssteuertarifs an die Inflationsrate vor. Zudem sollen der Kinderfreibetrag und das Kindergeld erhöht werden.
