Drei Kinder bei Schusswaffenangriff an einer Schule bei Helsinki verletzt
Bei einem Schusswaffenangriff an einer Schule in einem Vorort der finnischen Hauptstadt Helsinki sind nach vorläufigen Behördenangaben drei Kinder verletzt worden. Ein ebenfalls minderjähriger Verdächtiger sei festgenommen worden, teilte die Polizei am Dienstag auf ihrer Website mit. Die Tat hatte sich demnach am Morgen gegen 09.00 Uhr (Ortszeit, 08.00 Uhr MESZ) im Vorort Vantaa nördlich von Helsinki ereignet.
"Alle in den Schusswaffenangriff involvierten Personen sind minderjährig", hieß es in der Mitteilung. "Nach Informationen der Polizei gibt es drei Verletzte."
Nach der Tat wurden die Schüler der Viertola-Schule zunächst in ihren Klassen beaufsichtigt. Der öffentlich-rechtliche Sender Yle berichtete, besorgte Eltern seien zu der Schule geeilt. Dort hätten sich Polizeibeamte um sie gekümmert. Finnischen Medien zufolge wurde ein Krisenstab aus Mitarbeitern der Schule und der Stadtverwaltung eingerichtet.
Die betroffene Schule in Vantaa verfügt laut ihrer Website über zwei Standorte. Dort werden demnach etwa 800 Kinder im Alter zwischen sieben und 15 Jahren unterrichtet.
