Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will Auszubildende und Studenten in Kliniken einsetzen
Im von Corona besonders hart getroffenen Mecklenburg-Vorpommern sollen nun auch Auszubildende in der Pflege und Studierende der Medizin in Krankenhäusern und Pflegeheimen eingesetzt werden können. Auch in Kinderbetreuungseinrichtungen und Schulen sollen Nachwuchskräfte helfen, wie Landesgesundheitsministerin Stefanie Drese (SPD) am Montag mitteilte. Die epidemische Lage im Land sei "sehr angespannt", hieß es von der Regierung.
Viele Kliniken sowie Alten- und Pflegeheime seien an der Überlastungsgrenze. Erstens gebe es mehr Patienten, zweitens hätten sich viele Beschäftigte infiziert, seien in Quarantäne oder müssten Kinder betreuen. Die Universitätsmedizin in Greifswald und Rostock richtet eine Jobbörse ein, um bei der Rekrutierung von Studierenden zu helfen.
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern hat laut Robert-Koch-Institut aktuell eine Sieben-Tage-Inzidenz von 2367 - die höchste in Deutschland. Der Landtag beschloss in der vergangenen Woche, das gesamte Land bis Ende April zum Hotspot zu erklären, so dass die meisten Schutzmaßnahmen vorerst weiter gelten können.
