Bericht: Stiko will vierte Corona-Impfung für alle ab 60 empfehlen
Die Ständige Impfkommission (Stiko) will einem Bericht zufolge allen Menschen zwischen 60 und 69 Jahren die vierte Corona-Impfung empfehlen. Bedingung sei aber, dass die erste Auffrischungsimpfung oder die letzte Corona-Infektion mindestens sechs Monate zurückliegt, berichtete die "Bild"-Zeitung am Montag aus einem Beschlussentwurf der Stiko. Nur in "begründeten Einzelfällen" könne der Abstand auf vier Monate reduziert werden, steht demnach in dem Papier zur Aktualisierung der Covid-19-Impfempfehlung.
Bislang empfiehlt die Stiko die vierte Impfung für Menschen ab 70 oder Risikopatienten. Bundesgesundheitsminister Karl Lauterbach (SPD) wiederum hat die Viertimpfung auch für Menschen unter 60 ins Gespräch gebracht.
Menschen ab fünf Jahren mit erhöhtem Risiko für schwere Covid-19-Verläufe wegen einer Grunderkrankung wie Immundefizienz, Diabetes oder Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen werde ebenfalls eine Viertimpfung empfohlen, berichtete "Bild" aus dem Beschlussentwurf.
Mit einer Impfkampagne zur zweiten Auffrischungsimpfung solle ab Mitte September begonnen werden, "um einen optimalen Schutz im kommenden Herbst bzw. Winter zu erzielen", heißt es demnach weiter in dem Stiko-Papier. Die Bürger sollten nicht auf den angepassten Omikron-Impfstoff warten, der für September erwartet wird.
"Es ist nicht empfohlen, auf einen angepassten Impfstoff zu warten und deshalb eine indizierte Impfung zu verschieben", heißt es demnach in dem Beschlussentwurf. Sobald Varianten-adaptierte Impfstoffe zugelassen und verfügbar werde, die Stiko "die Evidenz aufarbeiten und ihre Empfehlung gegebenenfalls anpassen".
