Krankenhäuser warnen wegen steigender Corona-Infektionszahlen erneut vor Überlastung
Angesichts steigender Corona-Infektionszahlen hat die Deutsche Krankenhausgesellschaft (DKG) vor einer Überlastung der Kliniken gewarnt. "Wir haben erhebliche Zuwächse bei den Covid-positiven Patienten. Im Vergleich zur Vorwoche ist die Belegung um 50 Prozent gestiegen", sagte der Vorstandsvorsitzende Gerald Gaß dem Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland (Mittwoch). "Mit rund 19.000 positiv getesteten Patienten liegen wir aktuell so hoch wie zu Spitzenzeiten der Sommerwelle."
"Wir laufen flächendeckend und nicht nur in Süddeutschland auf extrem schwierige Wochen zu", warnte der DKG-Chef. Zusätzliche Probleme bereiten den Krankenhäusern demnach die hohen Personalausfälle, außerdem erfordere die deutliche Zunahme von positiv getesteten Patienten einen erhöhten Infektionsschutz und somit Mehrarbeit, "also wieder eine höhere Belastung für das Personal", sagte Gaß.
Er rechne nicht damit, dass sich die Personalsituation durch den angepassten Corona-Impfstoff entspannt, da dieser "vor allem vor schweren Verläufen, nicht aber vor einer Infektion" schützt und somit Personalausfälle nicht verhindere.
Die Zahl der Corona-Infektionen in Deutschland steigt wieder an. Die bundesweite Sieben-Tage-Inzidenz bei den Neuinfektionen lag am Dienstag laut Robert-Koch-Institut bei 787,5. Auch die Zahl der Intensivpatienten nimmt bundesweit wieder zu.
