Vermeintliche Pinguine in der Westpfalz: Autofahrer verwirrt Polizei
Mit der Meldung, er habe zwei Pinguine überfahren, hat ein Autofahrer in Rheinland-Pfalz kurzzeitig Irritationen bei der Polizei ausgelöst. Wie die Beamten in Kaiserslautern am Sonntag mitteilten, hielten sie zunächst auch "eine Beeinflussung des Anrufers durch Alkohol oder andere berauschende Mittel für möglich". Erst im weiteren Verlauf stellte sich heraus, dass der 25-Jährige eine eher ungewöhnliche Bezeichnung für Leitpfosten wählte.
Der Polizei zufolge war der Mann am Samstag bei Weilerbach in der Westpfalz aus Unachtsamkeit von einer Landstraße abgekommen und hatte dabei sein Auto beschädigt. Zudem fuhr er bei dem Malheur zwei der typischen schwarz-weißen Leit- und Begrenzungspfosten am Straßenrand um, was er der Polizei melden wollte. Den Beamten war die Bezeichnung Pinguin dafür aber nicht geläufig.
Alkohol- oder Drogenkonsum bei dem Anrufer waren demnach kein Thema. Die Polizisten verständigen die Straßenmeisterei, damit diese den Schaden behebt. "So ist gewährleistet, dass an der Unfallstelle zeitnah zwei neue Pinguine aufgestellt werden", erklärten die Beamten mit einem Augenzwinkern.
