AfD-Chefin Weidel strebt Regierungsbeteiligung in Ländern an
Zehn Jahre nach der Parteigründung will die AfD ihre Strategie verstärkt auf erste Beteiligungen an Landesregierungen ausrichten. AfD-Parteichefin Alice Weidel verwies gegenüber der "Welt am Sonntag" auf gute Umfragewerte vor den Landtagswahlen im kommenden Jahr in Brandenburg, Sachsen und Thüringen.
"Regierungsverantwortung anzustreben ist unser strategisches Ziel und Anspruch", sagte Weidel. Dies sei "auch durchaus realistisch". Dem Willen der Wähler werde "sich auch die CDU nicht dauerhaft verweigern können, wenn sie sich nicht selbst überflüssig machen will".
Die AfD begeht am Montag den zehnten Jahrestag ihres Bestehens. Die Partei wurde am 6. Februar 2013 im hessischen Oberursel gegründet. Sie ist derzeit in 15 der 16 Landesparlamente vertreten, nachdem die Partei bei der Wahl in Schleswig-Holstein im Mai 2022 aus dem Landtag flog.
