Kamala Harris nimmt erneut an Sicherheitskonferenz in München teil
US-Vizepräsidentin Kamala Harris wird auch in diesem Jahr an der Münchner Sicherheitskonferenz teilnehmen. Dies gab am Montag das Weiße Haus in Washington bekannt. Harris werde vom 16. bis 18. Februar nach Deutschland reisen. Mit ihrer Teilnahme an der Konferenz wolle sie "die transatlantische Einheit und Entschlossenheit" in der Unterstützung der Ukraine angesichts der "brutalen russischen Invasion" zeigen.
Harris wird nach Angaben ihrer Sprecherin Kirsten Allen bei der Konferenz in München eine Rede halten und mehrere bilaterale Gespräche führen. Genauere Angaben zu den Gesprächspartnern wurden nicht gemacht. Harris hatte auch im vergangenen Jahr schon an der Sicherheitskonferenz teilgenommen.
Die Münchner Sicherheitskonferenz findet in diesem Jahr vom 17. bis 19. Februar statt. Zu der Veranstaltung kommen in der bayerischen Landeshauptstadt jährlich Staats- und Regierungschefs aus aller Welt sowie andere hochrangige Vertreter zusammen, um globale Sicherheitsprobleme zu besprechen.
