Macron will Inkrafttreten der Rentenreform "bis Jahresende"
Frankreichs Präsident Emmanuel Macron geht davon aus, dass die umstrittene Rentenreform "bis zum Jahresende" in Kraft tritt. "Wir warten noch auf das Urteil des Verfassungsrats", sagte Macron in einem TV-Interview am Mittwoch. "Diese Reform ist notwendig", betonte er. Er respektiere die Proteste gegen das Gesetz, verurteile aber Gewaltakte und Blockaden. "Es ist uns nicht gelungen, von der Notwendigkeit zu überzeugen", räumte er ein.
Er werde die Rentenreform aber weiter verteidigen, weil sie "im Interesse der Allgemeinheit" liege. Macron hob auch hervor, dass die meisten europäischen Länder bereits für ein höheres Renteneintrittsalter gestimmt hätten. Der Präsident kündigte an, dass die Abgeordneten künftig kürzere und einfachere Gesetzesentwürfe debattieren sollen. So werde etwas das geplante Einwanderungsgesetz in mehrere einzelne Gesetzestexte aufgeteilt.
Die Reform sieht unter anderem die Anhebung des Rentenalters von 62 auf 64 Jahre vor. Macron hatte zur Durchsetzung des Reformgesetzes auf den viel kritisierten Verfassungsartikel 49.3 zurückgegriffen. Dieser erlaubt es, ein Gesetz ohne parlamentarische Schlussabstimmung zu verabschieden, wenn die Regierung ein anschließendes Misstrauensvotum übersteht. Am Montag war die Regierung bei einem solchem Votum knapp ihrem Sturz entgangen.
