Zeitung: Berlusconi hat die Intensivstation verlassen
Der erkrankte frühere italienische Ministerpräsident Silvio Berlusconi hat am Sonntag die Intensivstation verlassen können. Die italienische Zeitung "Corriere della Sera" berichtete, der 86-Jährige werde in der Mailänder Klinik San Raffaele nun auf einer normalen Station weiter behandelt.
Berlusconi war am 5. April in die Klinik eingeliefert worden, nachdem er über Atemprobleme geklagt hatte. Die Ärzte stellten einen Lungeninfekt fest und gaben eine Leukämie-Erkrankung bekannt. In den vergangenen Tagen hatten sie über eine Verbesserung des Gesundheitszustands ihres prominenten Patienten informiert.
Berlusconi hatte in den vergangenen Jahren mehrfach mit schweren Gesundheitsproblemen zu kämpfen. 2016 war der Multimilliardär am Herzen operiert worden, 2019 wegen eines Darmverschlusses, 2021 verbrachte er mehr als drei Wochen wegen der Folgen einer Corona-Infektion im Krankenhaus.
Berlusconi hat das öffentliche Leben in Italien über Jahrzehnte in verschiedenen Rollen dominiert - nicht nur als Politiker, sondern auch als Medienmogul und langjähriger Eigentümer des Fußballvereins AC Mailand. Zwischen 1994 und 2011 war er dreimal Ministerpräsident.
