AfD setzt Parteitag in Magdeburg mit Beratung des Europawahlprogramms fort
Nach der Kür ihrer Kandidaten für die Europawahl im kommenden Jahr hat die AfD am Sonntag ihren Parteitag in Magdeburg fortgesetzt. Die rund 600 Delegierten sollen das Europawahlprogramm beraten und verabschieden. Der Entwurf sieht eine radikale Umgestaltung der EU hin zu einer auf Nationalstaaten ausgerichteten "Wirtschafts- und Interessengemeinschaft" vor. Das EU-Parlament soll dabei aufgelöst werden.
Im Entwurf des Wahlprogramms steht bisher auch noch die Forderung nach einer geordneten Auflösung der gesamten EU. Laut Parteispitze geriet dieser Passus aber durch ein "redaktionelles Versehen" in den Text. Dies soll nach dem Wunsch der AfD-Führung durch die Delegierten in Magdeburg wieder geändert werden.
Die AfD will mit insgesamt 30 Kandidaten bei der Europawahl 2024 antreten. Die Aufstellung der Liste fand an vier Tagen am vergangenen und diesem Wochenende statt. Zum Spitzenkandidaten wurde der sächsische AfD-Politiker Maximilian Krah gewählt, der dem äußerst rechten Rand der Partei zugeordnet wird. Auch die anderen Kandidaten für die Europawahl zählen fast ausschließlich zum Rechtsaußen-Lager der Partei.
Die AfD rechnet angesichts ihres aktuellen Umfragehochs damit, rund 20 Sitze im neuen Europaparlament zu erringen. Bisher ist sie dort mit neun Abgeordneten vertreten.
