Bundeswahlausschuss entscheidet über Zulassung von Parteien zur Europawahl 2024
Der Bundeswahlausschuss entscheidet in einer öffentlichen Sitzung am Freitag über die Zulassung von Parteien und sonstigen Gruppierungen zur Europawahl (11.00 Uhr). Fristgerecht eingereicht wurden insgesamt 59 Anträge - 40 für die Teilnahme auf Bundesebene und 19 Anträge für einzelne Bundesländer.
Anders als bei der Bundestagswahl gibt es bei der Europawahl keine Sperrklausel in Deutschland - eine Mindestschwelle, die übersprungen werden muss, um im EU-Parlament vertreten zu sein. Rechnerisch reicht weniger als ein Prozent der Stimmen, um einen Abgeordneten zu entsenden. So bekamen 2019 neben den im Bundestag vertretenen Parteien auch sieben weitere Parteien wie die Piraten und die ÖDP mindestens ein Mandat. Die Wahl zum Europaparlament findet hierzulande am 9. Juni statt.
