Sächsische Linke wählt Landeschefs Schaper und Hartmann zu Spitzenkandidaten
Die sächsische Linke zieht mit ihren Parteichefs Susanne Schaper und Stefan Hartmann in die Landtagswahl im September. Auf einer Landesvertreterversammlung in Bautzen wurden die beiden Landesvorsitzenden der Partei am Samstag mit großer Mehrheit zu Spitzenkandidaten gewählt. Schaper erhielt 94 Prozent und Hartmann 89 Prozent der Stimmen, wie ein Parteisprecher sagte. Beide waren bereits im November als Spitzenkandidaten nominiert worden.
Hartmann und Schaper führen seit 2019 die Landespartei. Der 56-jährige Hartmann ist Berater im Büro des früheren Linksfraktionschefs im Bundestag, Dietmar Bartsch. Seit Februar ist die Linke im Bundestag eine parlamentarische Gruppe. Die 45-jährige Schaper sitzt seit 2014 für die Linke im sächsischen Landtag. Die Krankenschwester ist seit 2009 zudem Stadträtin in Chemnitz und seit zehn Jahren Vorsitzende der dortigen Stadtratsfraktion.
Mit der Linken stellten nun alle im Landtag vertretenen Parteien ihre Landeslisten für die Wahl am 1. September auf. Die CDU zieht erneut mit Ministerpräsident Michael Kretschmer an der Spitze in den Landtagswahlkampf, die SPD mit Gesundheitsministerin Petra Köpping. Die Grünen wählten mit Landesjustizministerin Katja Meier, Umweltminister Wolfram Günther und der Fraktionsvorsitzenden Franziska Schubert ein Spitzentrio. Die AfD wählte Landeschef Jörg Urban zum Spitzenkandidaten.
In den Umfragen lag die AfD in Sachsen zuletzt mit bis zu 35 Prozent vorn, die CDU kam mit rund 30 Prozent auf Platz zwei. Erst mit großem Abstand folgten in den Umfragen SPD und Grüne mit einstelligen Werten, die Linke lag zuletzt bei vier bis sechs Prozent. Das Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) hofft bei der Wahl auf einen Einzug in den Landtag.
