Baerbock empfängt jordanischen Außenminister zu Gespräch in Berlin
Bundesaußenministerin Annalena Baerbock (Grüne) empfängt am Dienstag ihren jordanischen Amtskollegen Ayman Safadi im Auswärtigen Amt in Berlin. Nach einem Gespräch der beiden ist nach Angaben von Baerbocks Ministerium für etwa 12.40 Uhr eine gemeinsame Pressekonferenz geplant.
Jordanien hatte Israel in der Nacht zum Sonntag bei der Abwehr eines iranischen Angriffs unterstützt - neben anderen Staaten wie Großbritannien und den USA. Teheran griff dabei erstmals von seinem Staatsgebiet aus mit über 300 Drohnen und Raketen direkt Israel an. Baerbock hatte sich mit Safadi schon Ende Januar in der jordanischen Hauptstadt Amman über die Lage im Nahen Osten beraten, wie damals aus Delegationskreisen verlautete.
