Kühnert: SPD ist stolz auf Mindestlohn-Erhöhung
SPD-Generalsekretär Kevin Kühnert ist stolz darauf, dass der gesetzliche Mindestlohn zum Oktober auf zwölf Euro die Stunde steigt. Seine Partei habe "nicht irgendeinen Kompromiss durchsetzen können, sondern eins zu eins die Position durchgesetzt, für die wir von Millionen Menschen in diesem Land gewählt wurden", sagte Kühnert am Montag nach der SPD-Präsidiumssitzung vor Journalisten in Berlin. Das Präsidium habe sich außerdem in einer Resolution für mehr tarifgebundene Jobs ausgesprochen.
Die Mindestlohnerhöhung war eins der zentralen Wahlkampfthemen der Sozialdemokraten vor der Bundestagswahl im vergangenen Jahr. Sie bedeute für Millionen von Menschen "einen realen Unterschied in ihrem Lohn", sagte Kühnert nun. Nach Angaben der Regierung profitieren mehr als sechs Millionen Menschen.
