Weil und Althusmann treffen bei Fernsehduell vor Niedersachsen-Wahl aufeinander
Gut eineinhalb Wochen vor der Landtagswahl in Niedersachsen treffen am Dienstag (21.00 Uhr) die Spitzenkandidaten von SPD und CDU zum Fernsehduell aufeinander. Das Streitgespräch zwischen Ministerpräsident Stephan Weil (SPD) und seinem Herausforderer, Vizeregierungschef und Landeswirtschaftsminister Bernd Althusmann (CDU) findet in Hildesheim statt wird vom Norddeutschen Rundfunk live ausgestrahlt. In Niedersachsen wird am Sonntag kommender Woche gewählt. Seit 2017 regieren SPD und CDU dort in einer Koalition.
In Umfragen führt die SPD um Weil mit Werten zwischen 31 und 32 Prozent vor der CDU, die auf 28 Prozent kommt. Die Grünen liegen bei 17 bis 19 Prozent, die AfD erreicht sieben bis neun Prozent. Die FDP schwankt zwischen fünf und sieben Prozent, die Linke würde mit vier Prozent erneut den Einzug in den Landtag verpassen. Dominiert wird der Landtagswahlkampf weitgehend von überregionalen Themen wie dem Kampf gegen explodierende Energiepreise.
