EU-Energieminister wollen Beschluss gegen hohe Preise fällen
Die Energieminister der EU-Länder wollen am Freitag ein gemeinsames Vorgehen gegen die hohen Energiepreise beschließen (ab 09.30 Uhr). Bei dem Brüsseler Sondertreffen wird mit Konsens über den Vorschlag der EU-Kommission gerechnet, übermäßige Gewinne von Stromerzeugern abzuschöpfen und an die Verbraucher weiterzugeben. Mineralölkonzerne sollen sich mit einer sogenannten Solidaritäts-Abgabe an der Entlastung der Verbraucher beteiligen.
Umstritten sind in der EU dagegen Pläne zur gemeinsamen Begrenzung der Gaspreise. Die Bundesregierung hatte am Donnerstag eine nationale Gaspreisbremse angekündigt und will dafür bis zu 200 Milliarden Euro an Krediten aufnehmen. Weniger kreditwürdige Länder wie Belgien werfen Deutschland einen Alleingang vor. Für Deutschland wird Bundeswirtschaftsminister Robert Habeck (Grüne) in Brüssel erwartet.
