Bundesrat billigt Aufschub von Atomausstieg
Die Länder haben grünes Licht für die Verschiebung des Atomausstiegs bis Mitte April gegeben. Die Länderkammer billigte am Freitag den vom Bundestag beschlossenen befristeten Weiterbetrieb der drei verbliebenen Atomkraftwerke Isar 2, Neckarwestheim 2 und Emsland. Die Bundesregierung erhofft sich von der Verlängerung einen Beitrag zur Sicherung der Stromversorgung über den Winter.
Am 15. April 2023 soll dann aber endgültig Schluss sein mit der Atomkraft in Deutschland. Ursprünglich war der Atomausstieg bereits für das Jahresende geplant.
Über die Laufzeitverlängerung hatte es wochenlang Streit zwischen FDP und Grünen gegeben. Am 11. November stimmte der Bundestag zu - wobei zehn Grünen-Abgeordnete der Koalitionsvorlage ihre Zustimmung verweigerten. Zuvor hatte Mitte Oktober Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz (SPD) von seiner Richtlinienkompetenz als Kanzler Gebrauch und festgelegt, dass alle drei Akw bis Mitte April laufen können. Die Grünen wollten nur zwei Kraftwerke bis dahin in einer Einsatzreserve halten; die FDP hatte einen Weiterbetrieb aller drei Akw bis mindestens 2024 verlangt.
