Sporthilfe und PwC Deutschland erweitern Partnerschaft
Die Stiftung Deutsche Sporthilfe und die Wirtschaftsprüfungs- und Beratungsgesellschaft PwC Deutschland erweitern ihre Partnerschaft. Wie die Sporthilfe mitteilte, hat PwC seinen Vertrag bis Ende 2026 verlängert und steigt zudem zum 1. Januar 2023 als "Nationaler Förderer" in die höchste Partnerkategorie auf.
PwC wird dabei maßgeblich im paralympischen Sport aktiv sein und die von der Sporthilfe neu ins Leben gerufene Elite-Förderung für Para-Athleten und Athletinnen finanzieren. Die "ElitePlus-Förderung" für olympische Athleten und Athletinnen führt PwC in gewohntem Umfang fort.
Vor allem in diesen Zeiten ist es ein großartiges Signal, dass wir die Partnerschaft mit PwC Deutschland nicht nur fortsetzen, sondern sogar signifikant bis zur höchsten Partnerkategorie ausbauen konnten", sagte Karsten Petry aus dem Sporthilfe-Vorstand: "Damit gibt PwC Deutschland der Sporthilfe einen starken positiven Impuls und zeigt die große Wertschätzung gegenüber dem olympischen und paralympischen Sport."
Mit der paralympischen Elite-Förderung werden in Zukunft analog zum Pendant im olympischen Bereich ("Mercedes-Benz Elite-Förderung") ab 2023 die Medaillenkandidaten und -Kandidatinnen für Paralympische Spiele und Weltmeisterschaften mit zusätzlich 400 Euro im Monat unterstützt.
