Lizarazu beeindruckt vom "großartigen" Füllkrug
Der ehemalige französische Fußball-Nationalspieler und Ex-Profi von Bayern München, Bixente Lizarazu, traut der deutschen Elf bei der WM in Katar nicht allzu viel zu. "Bei Deutschland tue ich mich schwer. Aktuell ist das nicht gut genug", sagte der Weltmeister von 1998 dem Nachrichtenportal t-online.
Der 52-Jährige weiter: "Deutschland ist normalerweise immer einer der Top-Favoriten. Aber so ein Auftritt wie gegen Japan darf sich nicht wiederholen." Die Leistung gegen die Spanier im zweiten Spiel habe ihn aber "beeindruckt".
Lizarazu hat zudem lobende Worte für WM-Neuling Niclas Füllkrug (29), Torschütze beim 1:1 gegen Spanien, parat: "Im Ausland sind wir gute, deutsche Neuner gewohnt. Miroslav Klose, Mario Gomez – oder eben jetzt Niclas Füllkrug. Er hat gegen Spanien viel Aggressivität reingebracht und getroffen. Das war großartig."
